I am a lifelong animal lover. My grandmother taught obedience classes, and as a young girl I remember being brought to class to be a ‘training distraction’ for the dogs. When I was in the fifth grade my family adopted a stray dog, and I took charge of her care and training.
In 1995 I became a puppy raiser for Canine Companions, rekindling my childhood interest in dog training. I subsequently left a career as a preschool teacher to pursue training full time, and dog training has been my profession and my passion ever since. I particularly enjoy helping families and their dogs enjoy each other more, through humane obedience and manners training.
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and a Certified Trick Dog Instructor. I have a diploma in Canine Behavior Science and Technology (pass with distinction) from the Companion Animal Sciences Institute.
In my free time I enjoy gardening, yoga, and pottery.
