My name is Micah. I am about nine years old and have been a constant companion of an elderly lady for 18 months; she moved to a group home last month and can’t keep me. Once I get to know you I will be your best friend, just like I was hers. I love sitting on laps and having my belly scratched. I think I am part terrier. I am small and quite manageable. I am healthy although not overly athletic. I stay in a crate at night and love the protective feel it gives me. Open disclosure- I have snapped on occasion with strangers who make sudden moves to pet me. Once I get to know you, though, I have a lot of trust. If you keep me inside, I prefer to be walked or let out a few times a day to go to the bathroom. Are you my next human? If you’d like to meet Micah, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org...read more

A recent transplant from the midwest, Sheldon is a pit mix around 6-7 years young and weighs in at about 65lbs. His goofy grin, sweet cuddles and amazing ability to find a way to lay next to you makes him one amazing companion. He loves retrieving things for you around the house and out in the yard. And is always looking for a treat for his efforts. He loves meeting new people and quickly becomes their best friend and instant couch mate after only a couple of minutes. He currently has a brother that he gets along with really well but new animal faces take some time for him to get used to. In addition to his recent degree in magic at Hogwarts, he also knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, off and leave it. He needs to find a new home as soon as possible and is all up-to-date on his shots and has a clean bill of health. Sheldon can’t wait to meet his new family. You can reach him by email but he just forwards all those to me so you might as well just send them directly to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Sweetpea’s original owner lost her apartment; she could no longer afford the rent. I am fostering her until I can find a new home for her. She is extremely shy when you first meet her, but when she gets to know and trust you, she is very affectionate. She loves to be petted, and will roll on her back so she can have a belly rub! She would do best in a quiet home, with no other pets. She is also quite playful. Recently tested negative for fiv, up to date on vaccinations, and spayed. Please contact me at email@example.com if you are interested....read more
Our living situation has changed and we are faced with the very difficult decision to re-home our cute little dog. He is very sweet and affectionate. He is current on shots and pest meds. Well potty trained but still needs some help getting used to small children and stranger dogs. If you’d like to meet Charlie, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org more
We have had Lola, (the darling brown chihuahua) and Lily and Muffin (sister chihuahua pug mix) for the last four years. Lola was rescued from a pit bull breeding home. Lily and muffin were adopted from a shelter where they were found abandoned in a box near lake county. These are the most loveable sisters you’ll meet. They cuddle, are potty trained, and love, and I mean LOVE the beach. We have two small children and we don’t have the time to give them the walks or love they deserve. It breaks my heart, but I want them to go to a family who will give them everything and more. I don’t want to break them up but I’m open for discussion. Please contact me at email@example.com. *all three spayed and up to date on...read more

This sweet 13-yr-old short-haired Calico cat was unfortunately abandoned by her owner who was forcibly evicted and cannot care for her anymore. She loves the outdoors but prefers to be in a safe home with someone who loves her to cuddle with. Though she is in pretty good shape, I do not know her medical history. I know this is a drawback for some, but this kid is an exceptional being, and is hanging on for the right person. If you’d like to learn more, please contact me at email@example.com more
We have a sweet, enthusiastic dog named Zorro who has been part of our household for the last three years. After a lot of thought, we’re looking for a new home for him, and want to get the word out to our animal-loving friends in hope of finding him a great place to live. Zorro is afraid of children, and although he has been very careful and gentle with our new daughter, having a baby in the home is stressing him out to the point where he’s no longer very happy being home. Wilder, on the other hand, adores him, and we’re worried what will happen when she learns to crawl and can chase after Zorro. We’re really sad he’s going, but want to find him a great home and hope he’ll be with a friend where we can see him often. If you know someone who is looking for a great dog, can give him a lot of attention and spend time with him outdoors, please let us know. Here’s some details about Zorro: -He’s a mutt, and our best guess is that he’s part Blue Heeler, part Terrier of some kind, and part English Setter. -He was born in Fresno, and we adopted him at the Milo Foundation in Richmond at 8 weeks old. -He loves going on walks, playing with sticks, swimming, and riding in trucks. -He’s not compatible with kids under 10 or so– he has a few child friends that he likes playing with, but mostly kids freak him out. He’s never hurt any, but he barks at them and has scared many. -He has some hip dysplasia and an injured tendon in his knee that causes him some pain after running too far or playing too hard, and will bother him the rest of his life. We have an effective pain medication that we give him when needed. -He’s very attention-motivated and not very food-motivated. -He loves training games and learns fast. He was the nerdy star student of puppy class. -He needs a person who can spend lots of time with him, and needs to spend time outside every day. -He’s great in the car -He’s fine spending time alone in the house or car, and he doesn’t chew things -He’s neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. -Here’s a video Devon made of him https://vimeo.com/170431368 If you’d like to meet Zorro, please contact me...read more
This is Jovi she is a ragdoll and is approx 6-7 years old current on all her vaccines as well as her flea and tick medicine. Jovi loves to be outdoors and in everyone’s business. Jovi loves to talk to people and is a great huntress. She likes to mosey around while you work in the yard and keep you company. Her biggest downfall is that she isn’t overly friendly when pet. Jovi loves to bite and claw — we have a young baby and as she is getting more mobile is showing interest in Jovi which Jovi detests. She has been fine as an outdoor kitty and would love to be someone’s barn kitty or just stay outdoors where she can do her own thing. Jovi has gotten along with our two labradors just fine and made friends with our male kitty after some time. I would like her to find a home with no children better suited for her. If you’re interested in meeting Jovi, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or...read more
