A new home for Paris Rose

A new home for Paris Rose

I didn’t realize when I moved recently to Burbank Heights, a senior living community in Sebastopol, that I would have such a difficult time helping Paris Rose adjust to being a totally indoor kitty. She always had the freedom of using a kitty door to come and go for the 12 years that she has lived with me. She still wants and needs that freedom. Paris Rose is a lovely and beautiful kitty, very social, behaves extremely well, unless confined, enjoys visitors, and is very active for her age. Although she is hyperthyroid, which is common for older cats, I simply put granulated medicine in with her wet food twice a day. It’s easy to manage. Being primarily an outdoor kitty she loves to hunt, but she doesn’t hunt birds. Since she has been here at Burbank she has caught 5 gophers that I know of. While I think that is good due to the huge number on the grounds here, it wasn’t enough to convince management to let her continue to roam outside. Paris Rose is not accustomed to living with small children, or other pets, so I can’t say how she would work out in those environments. However, she had been in a neighborhood with other outdoor kitties and there was never a problem. While I could continue to try to keep her inside all of the time, I think it would be very disruptive for both of us. I do not intend to break her spirit by forcing her to be an indoor kitty. It’s my choice, and not a judgement. Being outside is in her genetic makeup. The perfect environment for Paris Rose would be a loving home where she could come and go as she pleases. If you are willing to consider having a wonderful companion that would enhance your world, please feel free to contact me for more details. Thank you for helping us...

Yorkiepoo in need of a loving home!

Yorkiepoo in need of a loving home!

AJ is a sweet, 7-year-old Yorkiepoo male in need of a loving, good home! I hate to have to rehome him but I’m relocating to LA and can’t afford to give him the attention he deserves with my long work hours. He’s neutered and up to date on all of his shots. He loves to go outside for short periods of time, sit on your lap, and watch your favorite movies. AJ will bring love into your home and make a great companion if he’s shown the same affection. He had surgery on one of his hind legs a few years ago, due to his arthritis, but he’s been doing great ever since! I did take AJ for a vet evaluation, and this little guy needs dental surgery so I need to make sure he will go to a home that can afford to take care of him. Please email me if you’re interested in meeting AJ at...

EMMA – BEAUTIFUL VEGAN DACHSHUND/CHIHUAHUA NEEDS A LOVING VEGAN HOME

EMMA – BEAUTIFUL VEGAN DACHSHUND/CHIHUAHUA NEEDS A LOVING VEGAN HOME

EMMA – BEAUTIFUL VEGAN DACHSHUND/CHIHUAHUA NEEDS A LOVING VEGAN HOME In Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Petaluma, Sonoma, Marin or Napa areas. If you know of a vegan looking for a healthy small vegan dog as a lifelong companion (she has been a healthy vegan for a year now!), please share. Thank you for any help you can give. I rescued Emma last year from an Oakland shelter, with the goal to find her a wonderful vegan parent after nursing her back to physical and mental health. The shelter did not have a foster program and said I must adopt in order to help save her life and find her a home. I cannot keep her permanently as she is not a good match for my 2 senior dogs. I feel she would be happier in an only dog home. Emma was already at the shelter for a month, recently in heat and spayed, malnourished, and 4 lbs. underweight. I was afraid she would die soon from poor health or be euthanized. She is about 5 years old, and now in excellent health with a beautiful coat and ideal weight at 15.5 lbs. Please call me for further details. Serious inquiries only please. Adoption Fee: $150 To help pay for professional veterinary dental cleaning, blood panel, current rabies vaccine all done in 6/17 at Rohnert Park VCA. Her teeth are in superb condition. No kids under 16, no other dogs or cats. Experienced dog caregiver who will spend time with Emma (works from home, works part-time, or retired). Must be willing to give veterinary care when needed. She must live indoors 100% of the time (not in garage) as your companion animal. No homes with wall-to-wall carpet. She eliminates outdoors and would probably be easy to teach to use a dog door or go on a pee-pad indoors.   PERSONALITY I’m looking for a vegan home for her as an only dog with someone at home a lot. Emma is very friendly with strangers, sweet, happy, loving, quiet, intelligent, and minds most of the time. Moderate energy, loves human company, and her walks. I walk her every day for about an hour and it is the highlight of her day. Excellent car traveler in her crate to go for walks. I take her in the car very often for a walks to various parks. Emma is food aggressive so she must be in a one-dog household for the safety of everyone. My senior chihuahua has cancer. When I rescued her last year she already had cancer and is recovering now from major surgery. She will not back down when Emma is food aggressive and it has resulted in a fight. The dogs are fed in separate rooms, and while I am away, I must absolutely make sure there are no food crumbs on the floor or anywhere in the house, or I must confine one of them in a separate room. All my dogs deserve a stress-free home. This is not a good situation as my dogs love to roam around the entire house. She likes to sleep in any of my dog beds or on the sofa, and loves to give kisses and be with you when you are on the sofa. I also believe she would really love...

Country Cat Needs Home

This is Hazel who, as you can see, loves to be outside. She would also love to come in and be warm and safe, but my other two cats object. I rescued Hazel from the woods. Now she needs a country/river home where she will be welcomed in and still able to go out. She is such a love, she will lay in your lap for as long as you’ll let her, purring and kneading happily. She’s spayed and about 6 yrs. old. Email me at windchyme49@sonic.net or call me, Jan, at 707-322-4603 if you are interested.

2 Beautiful Healthy Loving Cats need new Home

2 Beautiful Healthy Loving Cats need new Home

We have two Beautiful Loving Cats that need a new Home. We are unable to keep them unfortunately and it is a painful sacrifice to give them up. If a family is interested, then children should be 10+ years or older. This would be best for the cats. We are not sure if they would get along with other cats, but they have known each other since they were kittens and love one another. They would not do well with dogs. They are great companions to one another and we would love for them to stay together but understand if this is not possible. They do well in a quiet or busy household. They are solely indoor cats. They will come with all of their toys, grooming supplies, bedding, carriers, collars, harness, scratch post, food and water containers. They were both adopted as kittens and have some of their vaccinations. Here is a description: Artemis – 2 year old spayed female. Lynx point Siamese mix. Beautiful soft coloring. Very petite paws that are adorable. She loves to chase the laser beam and bouncy ball! Her name suites her because she is a stealthy huntress…catching flying insects and spiders indoor! She speaks up when she wants to eat, play or just to be pet. She loves to curl up next to you and give kisses and nuzzle you. Mucha – 1 year old neutered male. Siamese mix. Very unique markings! He has a circular outline on each of his sides! Plus markings on his belly that can form the Pi symbol. He loves to “play stalk” Artemis and wrestle with her…even when she is trying to nap! He has grown into a very elegant confident male. He too enjoys lying next to you on the couch to keep you company. He’s curious about his surroundings and will investigate new sounds and items. They are both well behaved and have no behavioral issues. They are litter box trained. They only use their scratch posts and board. They are used to our house routine but can adapt to yours quickly since they are still young. Because we are re-homing them and are specific with placement we are asking a small adoption fee so that we only have serious inquiries. ***Must have a Smoke free and Drug free environment for their health*** Please contact Rachael per text or phone call if interested and would like to meet our beautiful cats: (707) 799-1781. Thank you for your...

Rottweiler needs to be Re-Homed

Hi, her name is Gia and she is a 4 year old female rottweiler and she hasn’t been fixed. She is a loving dog, family friendly and protective of her family. I have a 4 year old daughter and she is amazing with her. She likes to play aggressively with other dogs but she hasn’t had much interaction with lots of animals. My roommate had a great dane and they played lots. Once she is introduced to others she warms up to them but at first she is skeptical and will bark mainly at men. She has never bit any body ever. I’m looking for a better home for her because I moved to a smaller place without a yard and she has lots of energy and I just don’t have the time to give to her. If you have any questions please contact me at my email scenevm@gmail.com. Thank you,...

Sad Girl

Sad Girl

Coco was abandoned when her owner was evicted. She spend a couple months in a condemned cabin in the woods with only me visiting twice a day to feed and love her. She is about 10, was very sweet and friendly, but is traumatized. She desperately needs a home where she can be the only cat, the center of attention. If you have room in your home and heart for her, please consider bringing her home. If you’d like to meet Coco, please contact me at windchyme49@sonic.net.

Sweet, Social and Sassy, Indoor/Outdoor All-Black Kitty

Sweet, Social and Sassy, Indoor/Outdoor All-Black Kitty

Luna is a beautiful and sweet 4-year-old, spayed kitty who is all-black with a slender build. She has half-moon eyes that make it look like she’s always giving you a little attitude, but she really just wants love and scritches. She’s on the small side but has a lot of personality. She is unphased by loud noises and lots of activity and is also great with kids and new people (she’s hesitant around new cats but has co-existed successfully with another female cat). Luna really enjoys being a mostly outdoor kitty with lots of cuddle privileges. She’s a bit of a guard cat, likes to circle the perimeter of her territory, and is a very proud mouser. She has a couple of problems including a flea allergy, she still suckles at your clothes (she was found abandoned as a very young kitten), and she has trouble using the litter box consistently. Transitioning to indoor/outdoor and adding more litter boxes has really helped with the latter. I love this cat so much, and really want to find a home that will be an even better fit than we are. Is that you? Please email iamjustinemendoza@gmail.com with a note about who you are and who lives in your...

Giant Schnauzer looking for new home!

Giant Schnauzer looking for new home!

Meet Blackjack, he is a purebred from Skanson’s ranch in Sebastopol, CA. He will be turning two years old in October and is unaltered. Very friendly and affectionate to owners, gets along with most dogs except other dominate males. Blackjack is very high energy and needs an owner who will exercise him daily. Not recommended for households with young children or elderly family members, as he is still a puppy and very  rambunctious. Blackjack is up to date on all shots including rabies vacc. and is in excellent health. Giant Schnauzers are bred to be excellent guard dogs. We are sadly rehoming him because we do not have enough space for him at our current residence and we have a baby on the way. Please only inquire if you feel that you have the time, energy and space that Blackjack needs to thrive. He does excellent staying outdoors and does not need to be inside due to his thick winter coat. He does not shed, but requires that you sheer him during spring/ summer months, only about 2-3 times a year. We look forward to finding Blacjack the loving home he deserves! If you’d like to meet Blackjack, please contact me at Spfinley1@gmail.com.        ...
