Sweet little 10lb mutt mix

We have a very loyal little guy that needs a good home! He’s about 4yrs old, fixed and up to date on vaccinations. He currently lives with a cat and has been around other dogs before and did well. He’s potty trained and a great companion. We are moving and can’t take him and he needs more time and attention than what my daughter and I can provide right now. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!! Alicia 707-291-0326

MELLOW, BEAUTIFUL 7 YR. OLD MALE CAT

MELLOW, BEAUTIFUL 7 YR. OLD MALE CAT

We are trying to re-home our beautiful white house cat. He is neutered and has been an indoor cat only. He has never had one accident inside and uses a litter box faithfully.  Because of my compromised immune system due to ongoing Lupus, I am unable to keep him due to severe allergies which have developed as my immune system continually weakens. A bit about “Mr. Wooner”: ( short for “wooner-fitz”/ Amish word for “snoop”) He is a very affectionate cat and loves to be spoiled. He likes being able to have a bed by a window, so he can look outside. He has never been ill, and has been treated with tick and flea prevention even though he is an indoor cat. He likes his feedings, etc. done on schedule, and feels more secure this way. Since he is deaf, he loves chasing lights and is visually stimulated by looking at shadows, lights, etc. when playing. I am not sure how he would do with other cats or a dog, since we have only had him and he has been an indoor  cat. Please consider adopting this beautiful, loving cat! We hope so much to find him a good home. He is calm, loving and has a very sweet little “meow” for such a big guy! ( He really is a marshmallow!) Contact:...

Sweet Chocolate Lab Needs a Home

Sweet Chocolate Lab Needs a Home

I’m looking for a new home for my 5 year old chocolate lab, Tuli.  He’s house trained and great on leash.  He’s active friendly and great with other dogs and cats.  I work long hours and travel often which makes it difficult for me to spend quality time with Tuli.  He would benefit from owners who could give him the attention he deserves.  He’s house trained and attended puppy school at 3 months old. He’s really a sweet and loving dog.  He’s neutered and all his shots are up to date. Contact:...

Active Shepherd/Lab Needs New Home

Active Shepherd/Lab Needs New Home

We are looking for a new home for our 2-year-old dog, Ellie. She is a Shepherd/Lab mix, about 40 pounds, and full of energy. Ellie is an extremely active dog and benefits from frequent walks and lots of attention. Unfortunately, my wife and I now work long hours and travel often, making it difficult for us to spend quality time with Ellie. We feel it’s best to find a new home for her where she would benefit from owners who have as much energy and love the outdoors as much as she does. Ellie is potty-trained, but she still could use further training about not jumping up. She’s ok, but not great on her leash, but when she gets regular walks, she’s much better about jumping and is well-behaved. Overall, she’s a sweet dog who really just needs more attention and exercise. Please contact us if interested, and we’d be happy to meet with you.  Contact:...

All expenses paid for Cecil

All expenses paid for Cecil

Cecil’s mom recently passed away. I am temporarily caring for Cecil. Due to my progressive disability and my physical limitations, I am unable to keep Cecil forever but I promised Cecil’s mom I would never leave him in a shelter.  I am looking for another human mom to love and understand him like the first one did.  Cecil needs a home with a cat savvy FEMALE person who will talk with him and try to understand his ways. He would do best in a home without children but not sure about other pets as he has never been around them. He would like to live with someone who is at home 80% of the time. He doesn’t like to be alone. He was born on September 22, 2008. He is around 14 pounds, an indoor only, beautiful black and white tuxedo cat. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. He will take a while to warm up to his new person but when he does he is a real sweetheart (he is not a lap cat but will snuggle close at night during the winter). He has been known to hiss at, nip and slap at those who he doesn’t know if they reach for him. I am looking for the right match in finding Cecil’s new mom. Cecil will have his food, litter & medical expenses paid for, for the rest of his life. Cecil comes with a written agreement regarding his care that must be agreed to and signed by his new mom. His new mom will have to plan visits with him at his current home (Windsor) in order to get to know him and he them. With the right match, all the details will be discussed regarding his care and the agreement. If you think this could be you, please send an email to Leslie at ralroads@gmail.com or call 707-837-2987. Thank you for reading...

Meet Jazzy, 3 year old Boxer mix, 50 pounds of love!

Meet Jazzy, 3 year old Boxer mix, 50 pounds of love!

Meet Jazzy, 3 year old Boxer mix, 50 pounds of love! Based in Sonoma, CA but willing to meet around the Bay Area within reason. I rescued Jazzy from a shelter about a month ago, where she was a volunteer favorite. Apparently her past owners got evicted and just left her behind when they moved. She is a truly wonderful, sweet dog, but for various reasons I’m making the hard decision to find her another home more suited to her needs. But before I get to that, let me tell you about what a great dog she really is! Jazzy LOVES people. Truly. In fact, pretty much all she wants is to be around people. She bonds quickly, and loves men and women and children, and has had no problem greeting strangers in the house or out and about. In fact, she played so nicely and gently with a 6 year old, even letting the girl repeatedly take her favorite toy to play with her and being very patient when the little girl got a little grabby. She’s not jumpy or overly excitable/exuberant (though of course she’s playful and has that signature Boxer wiggle when excited!), so she would do well with kids and would be a great family dog. She is housetrained, and generally has great house manners. She loves nothing more than to cuddle on the couch or bed but will wait to be invited up. She’s also not a barker. She loves walks and running, she’s great on a leash or even off a leash and comes back when called. She’s been very good around cats, chickens, even cows- no chasing or aggression, although all these introductions have been supervised.  She already knows sit, down, stay, “go to bed”, come, and is very trainable and responsive. A firm “no” generally gets her attention and she’ll stop doing whatever it is I was correcting. Jazzy is not crate-trained quite yet, but we’ve been working on it and making progress. Now for the reasons why I need to rehome her. Jazzy does have some mild separation anxiety, and there’s been some tension between her and my parents’ dog. So I think Jazzy would do better as a solo dog with a family who has people home more often, or with a single person who has a flexible work schedule and can spend more time with her (which is unfortunately not my situation). Her particular separation anxiety is relatively mild and not really destructive, but I still think she deserves having someone around more than I can be. She doesn’t chew or shred her bed, for example, but she does cry for a bit when you first leave and she tries to get past barriers (like a baby gate). With routine and with a little bit of training to curb her anxiety she’ll be great. But I’m a single person who works full-time, and I think Jazzy would be much happier if she had people around more.  As for her tension with my parents’ dog: Jazzy can be a bit dominant with other dogs, which doesn’t sit well with my parents’ dog (another alpha female).  And while Jazzy is generally fine when meeting other dogs so far, I think she can be a bit picky about her dog friends...

RIVER Shepherd Mix Needs Forever Home

RIVER Shepherd Mix Needs Forever Home

LOOKING FOR LOVE? Meet River, 11.5 month old shepherd mix pup. I adopted River along with her sister at approximately 11 weeks old from a friend who fostered them after finding them as strays in Oakland around 9 weeks. I have been fostering them and training them for the past seven months, and River is ready for her loving forever home.River needs someone who is experienced in owning and caring for dogs, has at least 2 hours a day to exercise and engage her, or a large property where they she run around to exert herself. She is medium to high energy, and would be great as a protector, or herding dog, or having a purpose to engage her sharp mind. She gets along really well with other dogs at home, and loves to PLAY! She knows basic obedience, and is still working on socializing with trainers to solve on leash anxiety toward other dogs, which is not true aggression but comes off intensely as she is being taught that there is nothing to fear from dogs who are strangers. MEET RIVER Independent, goofy, and enthusiastic, River is a joy to be around as she delights in infecting all those around her with her excitement. She has a white stripe on her nose, light brown eyes, white socks on all paws, a light blonde coat and a white marking that streams down from her chin to her belly like a river. A food hound at heart, she will do anything for a treat and takes mealtime very seriously. While she enjoys the presence of people around her, she goes over the moon for her doggy companions, no matter how annoying it can be for the recipients of her adoration and countless licks to the face. She is not well suited as a companion for senior dogs, or pups who are overwhelmed by big energy. INTERESTED? I will ask for a small adoption fee to ensure that her new owners will give them a stable home. Contact me if you’re interested in meeting her. She is very healthy, weighing in around 63 lbs., up to date on all vaccinations, and has an upcoming appointment on October 3rd to be spayed.  Contact:...

Gentle Basset Hound Needs Loving Home

Sadly we have to say goodbye to our sweet Basset Hound, Charley. He is 8 years old and since we have moved he runs away everyday to explore and meet new friends. He needs an enclosed yard for his safety and we can’t give him that right now. He is super gentle, sweet and house trained (although he has pretty much only lived outdoors the past few years.  He loves other animals and is AMAZING with children.  dhcvega@att.net

Family Friendly Tabby 1.5 years old

Jynx is a one and a half year old short hair tabby. She has had a litter of kittens who have all found homes but she’s still looking for her forever home. She will need to be spayed immediately. She has had her first round of kitten shots but is not up to date. As far as her temperament,  she is a fantastic family pet. She is great with people, children, and even other cats. She was amazing with dogs before she had kittens. I feel once she’s fixed that can happen again. I unfortunately have been displaced from my home and unable to care for her at the level she needs and deserves. She’s a wonderful kitty and no doubt will be an amazing addition to anybody’s family. If you’re interested in meeting Jynx, please contact me...
